Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were very disappointing, small, and dated with mold in the shower. The breakfast and bar lacked atmosphere. However, the location offered good links to other areas in the Lake District and had stunning views. The dining experience was a mix of nice and burnt food, and the Mexican cuisine was highlighted as a positive. Facilities were not specifically commented on.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The room, although a bit small, was changed to accommodate my impaired mobility, but unfortunately, it was located above a generator causing some noise issues. The room had flies due to the bins outside, and the noise from 6.40 am to 10.40 pm made it hard to keep the window open for fresh air.
The hotel room in number 27 had a lovely balcony with a nice view. Although the room was very disappointing as it was extremely small, one of us had to sit on the bed if the other moved around. The decor was nice, but the size was a major inconvenience.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was disappointing as I expected a view and a comfy bed, but it was not what I hoped for. The staff in the library and at the lunch were accommodating, and parking was convenient. However, the lack of a good view and waiting for a better room were disappointing.
